Shanghai Chongming Zhiyan Health Science Research Institute (Zhiyan Institute) recently disassembled the Mentech’s Belief sports watch and found that Maxic’s ultra-compact, high-performance, and low-power optical crown sensor, MT3503, is integrated into the rotating crown of the Mentech’s Belief sports watch, enabling intelligent controls such as flipping pages, zooming in on maps, navigating menus, and starting workouts.

MT3503 combines rotational angle detection, key press detection, and 2D displacement tracking, allowing precise motion tracking capability. It features a high-speed image sensor with a built-in motion navigation algorithm and an 850nm VCSEL emitter. With a large pixel array and high-precision algorithms, it delivers angle detection accuracy ofup to 0.1°, capturing even the finest movements with millimeter-level precision for a seamless user experience.

MT3503 offers superior compatibility with components’ material like watch shafts, featuring advanced on-chip calibration that simplifies assembly tolerance challenges. This significantly cuts production costs while maintaining high product consistency.

With up to 10kV electrostatic discharging capability, MT3503 provides stable performance across diverse environments, ensuring long-term durability and reliability.
